Description

Good morning,
we have a problem with PDF printing.
We would like to prevent user to print PDF but we can understand how we can do this.
We use sitekiosk to show a web site with a PDF list, when click on PDF it opens adobe reader DC and you can print the document.
We would like to avoid printing and save option, is this possible?
Kind Regards
Nicola Falcone

Hello,

This is not a bug and SiteKiosk has no direct influence to the behavior and functions of external applications.

But you can block such dialogs by using the so-called Windows & Dialogs management of SiteKiosk.
“-->Access/Security-->Block system critical windows & dialog boxes-->Settings”

Example for English dialogs:
- double-click the entry with window title “Save*” and deactivate the checkbox at “Deactivate this rule for the limited SiteKiosk user”.
- double-click the entry with window title “Print” and change window class to “*”

Otherwise create a new entry with corresponding window title (use * as window class) and choose “Close window immediately” to block that dialogs.

Further information about that feature:

If you just want to block printing in the SiteKiosk user account (used in Auto Start Mode) you can use the System-Security Manager.
Choose “Customized” and then activate “Prohibit printing” after choosing “Policies” in the tree view”.
Confirm with OK.
