Support Request: Non authorized function

Description

dear all
this is the operational situation. On sitekiosk, we have an html page with a couple of buttons that users can utilize to surf to three specific websites.
A fourth button connects to an application on the pc. When being in the configuration page and using the test button to launch the application, it runs ok.
When being on the main screen and using the button that connects to the local program, an error pops up 'sitekiosk - not an authorized function'.

How can this be solved

Hello,

It seems that the application window is blocked by SiteKiosk.

Dear Michael
thank you for pointing me in the right direction. In the meantime, I have enabled File Download and when clicking the button, it downloads the SSFull.exe application, but then it tells me that there is no association.

I throw in the lines from the log relating to this application herebelow

The application itself is not starting ..
Re: Non authorized function 6/18/2019 12:41 PM
Hello,

Executing a downloaded application is disabled by default (for security reasons).

If you want to take that risk you can allow the execution at the file manager settings in the SiteKiosk configuration.
But I would advise to store the application locally before and then adding it to the SiteKiosk configuration (-->Applications):
https://www.provisio.com/helpconsole/SiteKiosk%20Help/en-US/default.htm?applications.htm

With the Metro IE skin you can open the application from the start menu then or by using the program page.

Alternatively you can configure the “Start Screen” (-->Start Page & Browser) to add the web links and also for then adding the application (-->Program Link).
