Support Anfrage: Dual monitor windows application

we are evaluating your kiosk lockdown solution.
I've configured it to auto-start our windows forms application, and it goes fine.
Inside our winform app, we have a button to open a secondary form. It should open on the secondary screen.
If I use it without SiteKiosk, it works fine.... but when running it in SiteKiosk, the 2nd form always opens on the primary screen, overlapping the main form.
I've tried to manually set position in pixels, etc... but it looks like SiteKiosk is locking all the forms of our application in the primary screen.
Is there any workaround?

Many thanks.
Best regards,

You should not enable the option “Activate second monitor” if you want to display another application (or anything else) on the second monitor
Otherwise the external application is overlapped by “SiteCaster”, “SiteKiosk Player” or a Windows Screensaver (e.g. Blank).
Furthermore you should disable the option “Restrict mouse pointer to first monitor browser area”.

To allow an external application on second monitor you need to adjust the Windows & Dialogs Management at “-->Access/Security-->Block system critical windows & dialog boxes -->Settings” and add a new entry where you allow the application window to be moved to second monitor (Disable the option “Restrict the window to the main screen“).
Please see here: https://www.provisio.com/helpconsole/SiteKiosk%20Help/en-US/default.htm?handling_of_windows.htm
--> 1.5 Restrict the window to the main screen

Use the “Add” button to create a new entry.
At the top enable the option “Explicitly allow the display of this window” but disable the sub option “Restrict the window to the main screen ”.
At “Window title” add the title of the application window
For Notepad it would e.g. be *Notepad

thanks for the quick reply.
Followed you instructions and seems to work. But if I click anywhere on the 2nd form, it suddenly return back to the main monitor, overlapping the main form again. (just like before).

Just a note: it happens if i first click on the main screen, and then i click on the secondary.
If I only click on the secondary (without interacting with primary) the window stay at his place on secondary screen. But when i click on the main form, and then on the secondary, the secondary suddenly moves on the main screen.

I tried to reproduce this behavior with notepad but there is no issue.

Or do you use browser windows?
In that case you need to set an additional option – see “20. Remove restriction to limit windows to the SiteKiosk display area”:

Otherwise please send your SiteKiosk configuration and the current log file (and if possible some screenshots or a video) with a short description via e-mail to

Hello Michael,
“20. Remove restriction to limit windows to the SiteKiosk display area” did the trick! Great!
Thank you so much!

Anyway i don't use "browser windows"... it's a single application, .NET WindowsForms C#... it opens 2 different forms (windows) one on each screen.
Maybe it was something about re-focusing the forms.

Thanks again!
