Warning: An update to IE10 on Windows 7 can lead to system freezes.

The installation of the new Internet Explorer 10 browser on the Windows 7 operating system will result in freezing problems on most SiteKiosk systems running Windows 7.
The error is due to a bug in the MS web browser control, which SiteKiosk also uses. We have added a workaround for this in the current release SiteKiosk 8.7.

We encourage all customers who use Windows 7 with automatic Windows updates enabled to update to the current version, SiteKiosk 8.7, because Microsoft will soon update all Windows 7 IE9 computers automatically to IE10. If you do not want to update to the new SiteKiosk version, you need to ensure that Internet Explorer 10 will not install with automatic Windows updates. To prevent this, Microsoft offers a toolkit that permanently prevents the automatic IE10 update but still allows other updates. Windows 8 systems are not affected by this issue.

The new version of SiteKiosk for Windows now supports video telephony via Skype. This allows you to create kiosk terminals to be used as a virtual concierge or customer service/support terminals. The new skin will show all available options and allows rapid deployment of the new technology.
