Support Request: Viewing a PDF in ANDROID full screen browser mode

Description

Hi

I cant access a PDF in full screen browser mode. When I click on the document it just comes up with a red circle with a line through it.

I need to use full screen browser as i have a looping video I want to use.

I have tried deactivating the Adobe app as well
Any advice

Hello,

To open a PDF you need to install Adobe PDF for Android and then allow that App in the SiteKiosk configuration at “-->Security-->Allow assigned apps”.
After doing this the PDF that is linked on a web page will be opened with the Acrobat Reader on Android (also when using the Fullscreen Browser).
You e.g. can test is with the PDF links on this page: http://www.provisio.com/en-US/Downloads/Default.aspx?GroupId=9

You may also check your sirfing area settings if you made any restrictions (-->Application-->Fullscreen Browser-->Surfing Area).

Hello,

In my test it also worked when using the Chrome Engine in the Fullscreen Browser.

Regarding the Surfing Area it depends on what you configured. Generally it works with the default Surfing Area settings (where you only add blocked urls while the checkbox at “Block external content” is disabled).

Did you also test this with the PDF links on this page: http://www.provisio.com/en-US/Downloads/Default.aspx?GroupId=9?

Generally make sure using the latest SiteKiosk version for Android:

OK - The pdf is linked to media.wix.com so do i need to allow this page in the surfing area. - i have done this but ow nothing happens.
