Hello,

The Watchdog Background will be displayed before the SiteKiosk Browser starts and every time the SiteKiosk Browser restarts.
It e.g. could happen when the Software watchdog must restart the SiteKiosk browser.

I can't find any log about the crash of SiteKiosk. Where can I find the event log? What can I see when the SiteKiosk crashes?

Hello,
the SiteKiosk logs are in ..\SiteKiosk\logfiles. A restart by the watchdog is flagged as an abnormal SiteKiosk program termination.

There is no log that is related to the abnormal/crash of SiteKiosk nor the termination of SiteKiosk. How can I identify the root cause of the crash?

Hello,

There is always a message with “abnormal sitekiosk program termination” in the SiteKiosk log when the software watchdog must restart SiteKiosk or when the Windows system has crashed.
Further information you would find in the Windows event viewer (System log or Application log).

But regarding your description this may even applies to the regular SiteKiosk restart after 360 minutes runtime (and if the screen saver activates after that time span) which is configured by default.

1. Automatic Process Restart

You can see that in the SiteKiosk log with the following entry:

[SiteKiosk] Notification: Maximum uptime reached and no cash session running. Restarting...

This is nothing to be concerned of.
