Support Request: Proxy access credentials

Description

I have setup domain joined PC but the sitekiosk account is local. In order to access Internet need to put in Proxy and then domain credentials. If I logon to the locally created Kioskadmin account I can set the settings and then put in the credentials no problem. However the Sitekiosk account appears to be locked down through shell replacement so even though I can log in to the local account I cannot get into settings to change it. I can set the proxy server though the maintenance option but there is no option to put in credentials. How can I get round this?

Hello,

In that case you should not enable the option “Use proxy server” at “"-->Maintenance-->Connection” in the SiteKiosk configuration so that the SiteKiosk browser just uses the proxy settings of the IE in the user account you run SiteKiosk in.

To add the credentials in the SIteKisok user account you can follow this FAQ about how to get access to Windows settings in the SiteKiosk user account (used in “Auto Start” mode):

Alternatively:
If enabling the option “Use proxy server” you can just add the basic proxy settings or import them from the IE) but not setup any credentials.
A username and password for the proxy server can only be added to the SiteKiosk configuration with the advanced content filter settings.
