Support Request: 500 Internal Server Error

Description

Hello,
I sometime get a "500 Internal Server Error" error message when loading a particular webpage on the kiosk browser (run once and auto run). My Sitekiosk browser is StartPage Portal with IE Skin.
I do not get this error when loading the website with sitekiosk closed/disabled in IE11 (run ad administrator and as sitekiosk restricted user).
I do not get the error with other websites.
Again, this issue is intermittent, sometime it loads fine, sometime I get the error, using the logout button has helped but it is not consistent.

Is there a timeout setting I adjust in the Sitekiosk program to wait longer before throwing the "500 error"?

Thanks,
Bertrand

500 internal server error is an http status code that means something is wrong on the websites server. There are no timeout settings to adjust in Sitekiosk to alter that error. Do you get the error if you switch to the Chrome browser?

To continue using IE, you can activate the Default IE Error Pages in SiteKiosk and test again:
15. Using the Default IE Error Pages
http://www.provisio.com/helpconsole/SiteKiosk%20Help/en-US/default.htm?manuell_editierbare_optionen.htm

Open the SiteKiosk configuration tool and go to >Basic >Start Page & Browser >Advanced and uncheck the option "Show SiteKiosk navigation error pages". Save and test.

SiteKiosk follows the international standards of W3C and stops immediately if receiving an error message from the server (error 500). Internet Explorer doesn’t handle this as strictly as SiteKiosk does and continues under certain circumstances.

I will try that and keep you posted.

I was able to fix issue by adding url to the intranet sites under the "restricted sitekiosk user acct".

THANK YOU for your time.
