Support Request: error -2146697208 (When dowloading a Word file)

Description

We are (randomly) getting error -2146697208 when dowloading a Word file. The computer inquestion is running Windows 10 and Office 2016.
We do not have this problem with PDFs, but it happens with Word docs 50% of the time.
What can we do to fix this issue?

This is a general error code from Windows that indicates a download was interrupted. Do the following to use the Internet Explorer download dialog box instead of the SiteKiosk download manager to see if you get different behavior.

1. Right-click your configuration file and open with Notepad.
2. Press Ctrl+F and search for the following line:

<msdownloaddlg-urls />

3. Replace the line you found in step 2 with the following:

<msdownloaddlg-urls> 
<url>http://* </url> 
<url>https://* </url>
</msdownloaddlg-urls>

After making the requested change, I now get an error message saying "The requested site could not be loaded"

"An error has occurred while trying to open the page res://ieframe.dll/dnserrordiagoff.htm"

Please send a copy of your SiteKIosk configuration file and SiteKiosk log file to ward(at)provisio.com. That change should only affect which download dialog is displayed when a download is started (eg SiteKiosk vs windows).
