Support Request: Print Button in Chrome

Description

We are having issues with the print button in Windows 7 with the chrome browser. We have a default Network printer installed (all other printers removed). The Print behavior is set to "Print web page as laid out on screen (without user interaction)". When I click the Print button nothing happens. If I change the Print behavior to "Show standard windows dialog box" printing works as expected but that isn't our preferred setting.

Thanks

Hello,

Thank you for submitting your inquiry. I tested your scenario with a network printer and the Chrome print button, they worked fine for me. There may be a number of factors you could investigate:

1. Go to the limited User account in Windows and try to print a test page. If prints, then proceed to next step.
2. Open SiteKiosk Configuration, and confirm that you have Enable printer monitoring enabled, if so, click the edit button and review the limits you set up. If you do not have any worries about printing page limits, then turn off the monitoring service. If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.
3. Check your SiteKiosk log files for any error message related to printing.
4. I noticed you are not using the most recent version of SiteKiosk. Give version, 9.7 5026 a try. See a point taken from version page --- Fixed problems in SiteKiosk Chrome browser by updating Chromium to version 73.0.3683.75. https://www.provisio.com/en-us/Downloads/VersionHistory.aspx. If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.
5. Send a copy of your config file *.skcfg and log file *.txt to ab(at)proviso.com for review.

Best regards.
