PayPal – payment by credit card
- The MyPublicHotSpot application now also supports payment using PayPal. This allows your customers to use their PayPal account to, for example, pay by credit card.
“Free access” by password
- You now have the option of setting a password in the configuration in order to make your WiFi network available for free access. This password can then be passed on to selected customers/guests. The terms of use must be accepted before the password can be entered.
User accounts
- MyPublicHotSpot user accounts work exactly the same as user accounts in SiteCafe.
Free Web sites
- Set up specific URLs for free access. Visiting these Web sites will then be free (e. g. visits to your homepage) while other Web sites will be subject to a charge.
Log files
- MyPublicHotSpot now stores all user activity in a log file. This will allow you to trace all URLs visited by your users.
Usage fee
- You can now easily set up usage fees for MyPublicHotSpot using the configuration tool.
Includes update 2.5.1: Fixes the backup when updating from version 2.1 or a beta version.

- Export and print Statistics
Now it is possible to export all statistics to an xml file. This enables you to load the xml file within a browser (e.g. IE) and to print them out.
- User Statistics
According to a law called Act 155, which was passed in Italy in 2005, special provisions apply for the use of the Internet. Operators of public access Internet terminals are obliged to gather personal data from every user and to register and store this information with a separate register (Registro per la registrazione degli accessi ad internet).
Now SiteCafe makes it easy to comply with these legal requirements for Italy. The button "User Login Stats" creates a mandatory register of Internet users and enables you to store and to print this information via the Export function.

New Version And Bug Fixes
- If certain circumstances were met, SiteCafe 1.0 could produce serious errors. These problems could be resolved in this new version and additional improvements with regard to speed and stability could be achieved.
- SiteCafe is now fully available in German, English, French, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Dutch, and Turkish.
- As they can now also sign in via the payment dialog box, users will now be able to set any Start Page in SiteKiosk when they employ SiteCafe.
- Under SiteKiosk->Payment Devices->SiteCafe, users can specify that their payment devices, e.g. coin validators, will not accept money unless the user is logged on/authorized. This feature may be of particular interest for public institutions (e.g. libraries), where customers need to be authorized before they can use a terminal.

Internet Cafe mode, prepaid PINs, and user accounts
- In response to many customer requests, we have been busy over the past nine months developing a special SiteCafe module. This module ships with SiteKiosk Pay and consists of a server module (SiteCafe Manager) along with a database and an additional SiteCafe payment device. SiteCafe allows you to unlock and control your workstations from one central location.
Since charging is partly done by PIN codes and/or password-protected user accounts, you will not necessarily need to employ any additionaly payment hardware. If payment devices, such as coin acceptors, are connected to your terminals, you will now be able to allow your customrs to manage their remaining credit balance in their own user account. SiteCafe does not require the use of special server computers, but can run on any regular Windows computer. You can download SiteCafe from our Wev site and put it to a thorough test.
