In principle, you can run SiteKiosk on any Windows-based computer. However, we recommend paying attention to the quality of your computer's components because, in the long run, no-name products can often lead to additional costs as far as support and maintenance are concerned. Systems with no-name memory chips or a malfunctioning cooling system may be unstable in many instances.
We recommend installing all available service packs!

Supported operating systems
Windows 95 (not supported anymore)
SiteKiosk 5.0 no longer supports Win95. If you still need to use Windows 95, please download version 4.97 from our website under Download/History. You may also have to install the Winsock update.
Windows NT 4.0 (officially no longer supported)
As of version 6, SiteKiosk no longer supports Windows NT because our tests have shown that SK 6 is not operable under this operating system. We cannot recommend using Windows NT as this operating system provides no support for USB and will, therefore, not function when used in combination with a great number of different devices. In addition, you will not be able to use the "System Security Manager" (since Version 5.5) under Windows NT.
SiteKiosk Version 5.5 provides an alternative for users of Windows NT 4.0 (download).
Windows 98/SE (officially no longer supported)
SiteRemote and System Security Manager not available
As of version 6.5, SiteKiosk no longer supports Windows 98.
SiteKiosk Version 6.2 provides an alternative for users of Windows 98 (download).
Application limitations:
- System Security Manager (since Version 5.5) will not run on this operating system
- Remote Monitoring Tool SiteRemote cannot be used on this operating system
We also recommend installing the following components:
Windows ME (officially no longer supported)
SiteRemote and System Security Manager not available
As of version 6.5, SiteKiosk no longer supports Windows ME.
SiteKiosk Version 6.2 provides an alternative for users of Windows ME (download). Although SiteKiosk does work with WindowsME, you may come across problems in combination with dial-up networking.
Application limitations:

- Remote Monitoring Tool SiteRemote cannot be used on this operating system
We also recommend installing the following components:
Windows 2000 (officially no longer supported)

Windows XP (32/64-Bit) (recommended)
WindowsXP is fully recommended for use with SiteKiosk, in particular, because of its stability. However, we advise you to install the following components:
Starting with SiteKiosk 7.1 a 64-Bit version is available as well. Please note that there might be some restrictions when running the 64-Bit version with components that require external drivers/applications (e.g. some payment devices), that are not 64-Bit compatible.
Windows Vista (32/64-Bit) (recommended)
Starting with version 6.6 SiteKiosk also runs under the Windows Vista operating system. We advise you to keep you Vista updated:
