SiteKiosk: Bug Fix for critical error
On kiosk machines with SiteKiosk versions earlier than 8.7 under Windows 7, the system will in most cases become unusable after Internet Explorer 10 is installed. The affected SiteKiosk versions are 7.1 - 8.6. Any Windows 7 computers that have automatic updates enabled will be affected because Internet Explorer 10 is installed automatically as part of Windows updates.

All software resellers are strongly encouraged to forward this information to the operators of the kiosks. PROVISIO has no information about the end user and therefore cannot directly inform them!

6/20/2003 - HTS, Provisio partner on Internet terminals

SAN DIEGO, Calif. -- High Technology Solutions (HTS) is partnering with Provisio to provide pay-per-use Internet terminals.

HTS’ terminals will use Provisio software to provide Internet access to individuals in non-traditional settings like c-stores, restaurants, bars and housing areas, according to a news release.

The units accept cash or credit cards for timed use of Internet services. Users can browse the Internet, send and receive email and print information. The system includes support for over 15 languages and content filters to prevent unauthorized system use, the release said.

"The proliferation of pay-per-use terminals is growing by the day. The requests for these types of terminals have increased substantially over the past few months," said Kelly Mundell, general manager of HTS Interactive.
