<title>Detecting credit card swipe from a web page</title>
<description>I am writing a kiosk application that is web based and the application is running on a kiosk with the SiteKiosk software. The platform is VS 2008 and the language is C#. My kiosk is an IBM Anywhere Kiosk that has an MSR (magnetic stripe reader) as part of the firmware. The card reader is configured on the COM3 serial port. I wrote a test .Net windows app to listen on that port and it works beautifully. The event fires when the card is swiped, I process the mag stripe contents and process the payment.

Trying to do the same thing on a web page is proving to be more difficult. The serial port listening device is not available for a web page.

Would I need to use an ActiveX control? Since this is IBM I'm also looking into Java. Any suggestions on what would be the best way to do this? I don't need to display the card contents - I simply want to post to a processing page (URL) to call the payment gateway.

Is there a SiteKiosk object that I could use to accomplish the same thing?

Thanks

<title>Remote or Keyboard volume control blocked</title>
<description>We have a need to use remote and keyboard volume controls for applications outside of sitekiosk. When using applications which play video or music, on screen volume controls and keyboard controls are blocked.Closing SiteKiosk restores control.

Volume control is core functionality of our media kiosk. We have reviewed the former ticket which recommends hotkey creation. This does not seem to address the root issue.

Please advise how to unblock windows volume control.</description>

      <title>Custom Keyboards</title>
<description>My name is Adam Wasserman of Groupe Viva Inc.

I am evaluating site kiosk, and one of our criteria is a keyboard that switches back and forth between US and French Canadian. Would Provisio professional services be able to develop a custom skin for us, and if so at what cost?

      <title>Link auf externes Fenster unterdrücken</title>
SiteKiosk.
