Hello,

This issue must be caused by any special setting/restriction you made in the browser and/or on the Windows Server you are running SiteRemote on.
On a Windows Server with default settings following the system requirements and the installation instructions there are no issues like this.
http://www.provisio.com/Download/brochures/siteremote-3-server-install-en.pdf

1. First you may try if it just an issue on the client and check the settings of your browser and/or add the URL of SiteRemote to the trusted sites in your IE settings (if using the IE).

2. A second reason can be that your IIS installation is not default and it will not be displayed because of a missing role.
On Windows Server 2008 with IIS7 is to Install IIS via the Roles management. Make sure to tick the additional role services for IIS6 Management Compatibility, HTTP Redirection, Windows Authentication and ASP.NET support.
Please see the following documentation for more info (page 2):
http://www.provisio.com/Download/brochures/siteremote-3-server-install-en.pdf

3. On Windows Server 2008 with IIS7 check if the “Static Content” role is installed (it is by default)
-->Start --> Administrative Tools --> Server Manager
-->Select “Web Server” under “Roles”
Third option down is “Static Content” under “Common Http Features”
If it is not installed you need to install it
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/6374419/no-mime-types-option-in-iis-7

If that role was missing you should reinstall SiteRemote.
If there are SiteKiosk data from the pervious SiteRemote installation you need to keep you should uninstall SiteRemote and make sure to keep the data during the uninstall process (just do not activate the checkbox to delete them).
Then install SiteRemote again, making sure to make all the settings as you did with the original installation.
The Installer will add some mime type settings during the installation that isn’t possible when that role was missing.

4. Another possibility is that you made a restriction about the access to the folders on the server where the images and the style sheet files are stored (e.g. IIS settings, security settings for the local file access, restrictions made in the policy settings e.g. to the “users” group).

If the hints above won’t help and it is just a test installation you may start form scratch and follow the instructions of the PDF brochure:
http://www.provisio.com/Download/brochures/siteremote-3-server-install-en.pdf

AD login to the SiteRemote Team is not supported. The users will be created and are stored in the SQL database.

Michael Olbrich
