SiteKiosk:
Corrección de error crítico
Si se instala Internet Explorer 10 en un equipo kiosco que funciona con SiteKiosk versión 7.1 - 8.6 bajo Windows 7, es casi seguro que el sistema ya no es utilizable. Bajo Windows 8, este error no ocurre! Una vez que se activa la función de actualización automática en la máquina de Windows 7, se instala el nuevo Internet Explorer 10 automáticamente.
Rogamos que todos los distribuidores y revendedores envien esta información urgentemente a los operadores de sistemas de kiosco. PROVISIO no tiene información sobre el usuario final y por lo tanto no puede informar directamente!

Hi! My name is Antonio Petricca and I'm a Sisal MatchPoint's technical staff member.
My company bought in the past several licenses of you Site Kiosk product and installed them all over its production environment.
Today we've new requirements to develop :
(1) lock down our pcs no more to a controlled navigation toward our public web application, but lock down a Win32 .NET application (that replaces the old web application)
(2) control you site kiosk to change programmatically (by our own upgrade software package) the configuration to reflect the changes explained at (1).
Could you give us the necessary information to achieve that goal?
Also, we would ask you if exists an official italian reseller/techical support center for your products.

Hello,
On Startup of SiteKiosk (Auto start Mode) the restricted SiteKiosk user will automatically be logged in and the SiteKiosk Browser starts with the configured Startpage. The user has no access to the Windows system then.
If you don’t want to display a web page but start an additional external application after the SiteKiosk Browser was started you should have a look at the option “Start application automatically” available when adding (or editing) an external application to the SiteKiosk configuration:

When using this feature you may also enable the feature to keep the SiteKiosk main window in the background (-->Browser Designs-->Advanced).
If you want that users can only access certain URLs you can use the Surfing Area settings to restrict it.

All these settings will be stored in the SiteKiosk configuration file you will find at “….\SiteKiosk\Config” by default (YourConfigName.skcfg).
If you edit or replace the configuration file outside of the SiteKiosk Configuration Tool please note that the SiteKiosk Browser will read this file once on every startup.
So if you replace the file in the background you need to restart SiteKiosk or the system to activate it.

Hi! I've just checked the version installed on one of the production PCs, it is the 6.0.
The question is : Is it possibile to configure SiteKiosk 6.0 like you explained us in your previous answer?

Setting the start page and staring options are the same:
The feature to keep the SiteKiosk main window in the background is not available with this old version.
To start an external application with or after SiteKiosk you should have a look at this FAQ then:
