Support Request: Issue with Content filter

Description

Hi,

I have the content filter enabled in our Site Kiosk setup, but it shows up as sites are blocked even in the sites that are supposed to be excluded from the filter. My goal is actually to allow it to go only to two websites if that is possible, with all the others being denied.

Thanks,

Damir

For this, you will want to use the Surfing Area feature (>Basic >Surfing Area). To block all page except for your start page click the radio button labeled "Denied". Next, under "URLs/Paths" click the Add button to start entering your list of websites to allow. You can use the asterisk (*) as a wildcard. For example, www.provisio.com/*

The content filter is meant to block inappropriate content in an open web surfing environment (e.g. pornography etc).

Thanks. Tried it this way. It's only allowing a txt or a csv file. I added them in the files and the main site works as specified on the start page but a secondary site does not work this way it seems. I've added it both as http:// and https://

I recommend using the top option "urls/paths" instead of "address list" which only accepts csv or txt files. If you use the "urls/paths" option instead then everything is stored in one place. Please add the URLs individually under "urls/paths" and test it again.

If you still have an issue, post what you see written to the SiteKiosk log file when that pag3e is blocked. You can activate the log file output window under >Basic >Logfiles to see the log file on the screen as it is being written.
