FAQ: Which ports of my firewall do I have to tunnel in order to make SiteKiosk/SiteRemote Client function properly?

Description

WebAccess:
--> HTTP - Port 80
--> HTTPS - Port 443

Mail send
--> SMTP - Port 25

SiteCaster CMS:
-->443 (outgoing)

SiteRemote
--> TCP/IP 8086 Windows Clients (only outbound traffic)
--> TCP/IP 5222 Android Clients (only outbound traffic)

- for the SiteRemote file manager (and SiteCaster/Digital Signage):
443 outgoing (default)
Except when deactivating the option to transfer files via secure HTTP (HTTPS) to the machines at the Team settings - then 52138 TCP (outbound) to reach the server / for direct peer to peer connections 59577 TCP (outbound) and the Teredo ports below are required.

SiteKiosk Android clients will always load the files directly from the SiteRemote Server via https (443).
443 outbound

- VNC Remote Desktop (SiteKiosk Windows Clients) :
An optional VNC connection to the Clients can be established via the SiteRemote 3 server at the expense of your team traffic volume (Repeater) or by directly connecting the client (Teredo).

The repeater version requires TCP 5500 (out), UDP 55901 (out) and UDP 55900 (in).

The Teredo version requires at least UDP 3544 (out), which will enable you to connect to clients within the same network, for machines outside the same network all outbound UDP traffic must be allowed.

VNC requires the UVNC Client (Viewer) on the PC you use to establish the connection. It needs TCP 5901 (out).

File Manager / Digital Signage download port settings - applies to SiteKiosk Windows Clients only

- SiteRemote 3.x/4.x:
By default the File Manager (and SiteCaster) does use the torrent technique to send the files to the terminals so that these data can also be distributed between the clients.

But if required you can change the File Manager settings to use HTTPS instead so that the clients will always load the files directly from the SiteRemote Server via https (443) only.

This can be changed within the Team settings in your SiteRemote Team.
Just activate the option "Transfer files via secure HTTP (HTTPS) to the machines" at the settings page (at the end of the page) and confirm by using the save button.

Then there is no need to open the torrent port (52138).

- SiteRemote 5.x
By default the File Manager (and SiteCaster/Digital Signage) will load the files directly from the SiteRemote Server via https (443)

SiteKiosk Android clients will always load the files directly from the SiteRemote Server via https (443).
