Support Request: Zoom in IE

Description

Hello,

we have a problem with an interactive kiosk with a Google My Maps page in an iframe (http://www.fitsadev.ch/cotes-orbe/vignerons-fr.htm).

We want to block the zoom in ie (in the security parameters) but it causes that the up and down movement on the tactile screen is no more available. Stangely, the up and down movement is ok in test environnement but no more in automatic mode. Is there another way to block the zoom in IE or is there an option which can authorise the up and down mouse mouvement ?

Thank you very much in advance.

Hello,

The IE based skins use the same registry setting like the IE for disabling the zoom gesture.
Please see this FAQ: https://www.provisio.com/en-US/CustomerSupportCenter/ArticleDetails.aspx?ArticleID=19044
-->A. By default…

But you also can use an external script to block the zoom function.
Please also see FAQ: https://www.provisio.com/en-US/CustomerSupportCenter/ArticleDetails.aspx?ArticleID=19044
-->C. Alternatively…

Or you check using the “Chrome Browser” Skin (Start Page & Browser).
With the “Chrome Browser” skin you can enable and disable the zoom gesture at “-->Start Page & Browser-->Customize-->Settings”.

Hello,

Thank you for your answer, but none of the solutions that you mentionned make the up and down available when the zoom is blocked.
As mentionned, it works in the test environnement but not in the automatic mode... is there something we can do with Sitekiosk ?

Hello,

Thank you for sending the SiteKiosk configuration via E-Mail.
I have tested it but on my system I even cannot scroll up & down when opening the web page http:// www.fitsadev.ch/cotes-orbe/bienvenue-fr.htm in Internet Explorer, Firefox or Chrome.

Hello,

now I got it.

Moving the map at http://www.fitsadev.ch/cotes-orbe/vignerons-fr.htm is blocked when using the Chrome Browser Skin and disabling the option “Allow zoom gesture

With the IE Skin it works while disabling Zoom in IE (and starting SiteKiosk in Autostart Mode) but also the zoom works on your page.

It seems to apply to the way you embedded the code to the web page.

If e.g. using https://maps.google.com with Chrome Fullscreen Browser and “Allow zoom gesture” disabled the zoom is blocked but you can scroll through the map.-
