Support Request: Start Screen Button Configuration

Good day,

We are currently testing the v9.0.3248 sitekiosk build for eventual rollout due to its support of our existing Microcoin QL coinboxes.
We are having an issue with our start page buttons launching installed Microsoft Office products, windows stock applications, etc.

Under Applications configuration we set the file path of the executable and the test button feature runs fine.
When we go to launch the application through the start page button nothing happens (no errors or blocked messages).
If we set it to start the application automatically it opens without issue in the first instance.
It's almost as if the button isn't programmed to work once clicked.

I've tried playing around with the application path in the button settings by adding quotation marks, pointing the path to a script that launches the application, as test however I can't seem to get it working.

I've reinstalled the product also but the issue continues to reoccur.

Please test this with the current version SiteKiosk 9.2. With this release, you do not need to add quotes around the path to the exe file you are trying to run.

I appreciate the prompt reply.
As stated in the support request our organisation uses Microcoin QL coinboxes which are no longer supported in versions 9.1 or newer.
I've reconfirmed this by install 9.2 as requested.
It there anything that you are aware of that I could possibly check?

Are you using the Start Screen start page template? If so, did you use the Start Screen application link button? What does it say in your log file when you try to start the application? As an alternative to the Start Screen template you could also use the Portal start page which will automatically add a programs button.

If you add your application to the list of applications in SiteKiosk and then try to open it from the programs button on the browser toolbar or from the task bar does it open as expected?
