Support Request: Whitelisting not working as expected

Description

I have a list of whitelisted pages and my wildcards don't appear to be working. For example, I am unable to access https://workplaceservices.fidelity.com/mybenefits/employerservices/navigation/planning?client=000754930 and I have the sites listed in my whitelist txt file.

https://workplaceservices.fidelity.com/*
https://workplaceservices.fidelity.com/mybenefits/employerservices/*

You can check the exact URL that is being blocked in the SiteKiosk log file (>Basic >Logfiles). For example, if you allow the url bar and user types fidelity.com instead of www.fidelity.com, that is considered a different URL. You can also activate the log file output window to see the log file on the screen as it is being written.

When I navigate to https://workplaceservices.fidelity.com/ I get redirected to https://login.fidelity.com. You would also need to allow login.fidelity.com or you can also wildcard subdomains like this *.fidelity.com. I also recommend wildcarding the protocol (e.g. http https).

If you are still having trouble with this, replicate the issue in SiteKiosk and then send your SiteKiosk configuration file and SiteKiosk log file to ward(at)provisio.com.

In the following case, you only need this entry "https://workplaceservices.fidelity.com/*" out of the two because of the wildcard. The second URL you listed is already allowed because of the wildcard.
https://workplaceservices.fidelity.com/*
https://workplaceservices.fidelity.com/mybenefits/employerservices/*
