Support Request: Autologin after Installation

Description

Installing SiteKiosk with CMD line:

cmd /c msiexec /i Sitekiosk.msi /qn /norestart INSTALLSYSTEMSECURITY=\"\" DEFAULTPASSWD=[password] DOWNLOADVNC=No INSTALLKLITE=0 /l*v c:\Temp\SiteKiosk9x_Install.log

And then configuring with CMD line:

cmd /c "C:\Program Files (x86)\SiteKiosk\SKStartup.exe" /i"C:\Program Files (x86)\SiteKiosk\Config\Startup-64.XML" /l [name] /s [license]

If I reboot after that, the computer does not auto login but boots to the Windows login prompt.

If I instead, before rebooting, run command: cmd /c "C:\Program Files (x86)\SiteKiosk\SiteKiosk.exe"

SiteKiosk loads until rebooted, then it's back to the login prompt.

The only way I can seem to get it to auto-logon is to manually run "Start SiteKiosk" and go back through the Startup configuration "Custom".

I have exported it after configuring this, and provided it in the 2nd CMD line above. Why is auto-login not working, and is there a proper way to make it work this way (automated)?

There are not any known issues with the skstart.exe tool. If you want to set any start settings you first must create a startup.xml using the start wizard of SiteKiosk (-->Customized-->Export) containing the user name and password of a Windows user that exists on the target system (we recommend using the local user SiteKiosk with the password provisio but it is not mandatory). This also works with other user accounts when setting up the correct login data in the custom start dialog before exporting the XML.

The startup.xml contains the start settings for SiteKiosk that will be stored in the Windows registry. What is the result in the command prompt window after you run skstartup.exe? Which options did you choose in the Customized SiteKiosk start settings window before exporting the xml file? When Windows gets the login screen after the reboot, do you need to press ctrl+alt+del before logging in?

Also note that you should start the command line window with administrative rights (runs as administrator).
