Support Request: display issue

Description

We are using Sitekiosk in a museum environment. This morning the browser appeared to change to a subsize of the whole screen. How can we switch it back to full screen and prevent that from happening in the future?

Also we have been using Dameware to remote access our windows machines but we cannot do that with sitekiosk on. Is there a way to still remote access with Dameware while still using sitekiosk?

We are using version 9 but aren't sure what subversion it is.

Hello,

Thank you for submitting your inquiry. You can use the full screen mode under Start Page and Browser. There you can remove the taskbar or specify what web pages you would like to be shown full screen. Please see helpful links below:

Applications:

You can add your application to the approved list (SiteKiosk Configuration>>Applications) of those allowed to run and set it to run automatically. You may need to run it once in the restricted user account. To do so, please follow second link below.

Hmm. We did set it up in fullscreen mode. i'm not sure if you can see the attachment, but it almost looks like someone was able to shrink the display to no longer be full-screen. The sitekiosk locker icon can be seen behind it. There are no toolbars so I don't think it's out of full screen mode necessarily, but got shrunk somehow.

Regarding my second question. Is there a way that I can still remote access the computer while sitekiosk is activated?

Hello,

Thank you for the quick response. I had edited my first response to answer both questions. Regarding to the minimizing of the screen, are you running SiteKiosk under these environments:
-Administrator (Start Once Mode) or Restricted User (Auto Start Mode)?
-Are you on a corporate network with restrictive policies?
-Do you have any antivirus software that would try to run in the background and force that window behavior?

Best regards.

It is running under restricted user mode.

It actually appears to be happening in the morning only. After restarting the computer it is full aspect ratio again. The display turns off at night and back on in the morning automatically to save some energy, however the computer stays on. Is it possible that the display being off at night may be causing the display aspect ratio to get smaller? If yes, is there a way to prevent that from happening?

Hello,

Thank you giving an update to this. It seemed that while the monitor is off, the aspect ratio changes. This is may have to do with your display settings. You however can set the kiosk in Basic >>Maintenance>>System/Monitor Settings to restart after the monitor should turn on. This will restore the screen and refresh your computer for daily usage.

Best regards.
