Support Request: WebCache

Description

We ran into an issue where a site redirection was used. SiteKiosk did not pick up the change because the old redirect was stored in C:\Users\SiteKiosk\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WebCache folder. We had to go into all the kiosks and manually delete everything under C:\Users\SiteKiosk\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WebCache and restart siteKiosk.

Just wanted to let you know, clearing the cache from the software does not delete C:\Users\SiteKiosk\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WebCache

With “Chrome Browser” skin (SiteKiosk configuration-->Start Page & Browser) SiteKiosk deletes the HTML5 storage by default.
Just make sure the option "Delete Temporary Internet Files" at "-->Logout" is enabled (is enabled by default when creating a new configuration).

With IE based skins (e.g. Metro IE) you need to enable the additional option "Delete Internet Explorer DOM storage (requires SiteKiosk restart)" at "Logout" in the SiteKiosk configuration to delete the HTML5 storage.
Note: This option is available since SiteKiosk 9.7. If you are using a SiteKiosk version prior to 9.7 and do not have this option available, see link below.

If you are using SiteKiosk 9.6 or earlier and the IE engine and want to delete HTML5 storage elements please see this FAQ: https://www.provisio.com/link/IEDeleteStorage.
