SiteKiosk: Bug Fix for critical error
On kiosk machines with SiteKiosk versions earlier than 8.7 under Windows 7, the system will in most cases become unusable after Internet Explorer 10 is installed. The affected SiteKiosk versions are 7.1 - 8.6. Any Windows 7 computers that have automatic updates enabled will be affected because Internet Explorer 10 is installed automatically as part of Windows updates.

All software resellers are strongly encouraged to forward this information to the operators of the kiosks. PROVISIO has no information about the end user and therefore cannot directly inform them!

Hello,

I thin it didn't work out, to hide the statusbar. When I disable the "Show Statusbar (SiteCash)" in the Configuration, the statusbar will still displayed.
In the configuration-file there is the correct entry: 

<fullscreen-hide-statusbar datatype="string">true</fullscreen-hide-statusbar>


What is wrong?

Hello,

Your setting only applies to the “Portal Startpage” bur not to the skin that will be used when following a link.

The information bar about the actual credit is part of the skin and can’t be hidden by the settings of the SiteKiosk configuration. In the SiteKiosk configuration you can hide the usual task bar.

You have the possibility to edit the skin files or might have a look at the “Fullscreen Skin”:

When using the “Fullscreen Skin” this information bar will not be displayed.
Don’t activate the full screen mode when using this skin as otherwise the information bar will be displayed again.

Hello,

even on the startpage the information bar will be shown. Are there more settings to do than in the SiteKiosk-configuration file? I also use the "fullscreen mode" skin.

I also tried to hide with:
SiteKiosk.WindowList.MainWindow.SiteKioskWindow.SiteKioskWebBrowser.WebBrowser.FullScreen = true;

Hello,

You just have to disable the checkbox at -->Browser-->Startseite-->Portal Startpage-->Anpassen-->Anzeige-->Zeige Statuszeile (SiteCash) respectively -->Browser-->Startpage-->Portal Startpage-->Customize-->Display-->Show statusbar (SiteCash) to hide the SiteCash status bar.

Furthermore you have to deactivate the full screen mode.
(The Portal Startpage Template will always be shown in full screen).

If you want to show the linked URLs at the Portal Startpage in full screen you can use the option to use the full screen mode on certain URLs (with SiteCash bar) or you can use the “Full Screen Skin” (without SiteCash bar)

P.S. As the SiteCash bar applies to SiteKiosk and not to the WebBrowser Object you command doesn’t work.

oh yes, to deactivate the full screen mode was the important part. I would never get this clue- deactivate fullscreen, to hide the SiteCash bar..
