Support Request: Wont play .MP4 Video

Description

Hi

I am trying to play a local Video on various tablets. but all i get is a white screen.
In the windows version you can select video in the screensaver options but on the android version you can not.
How can i play a local video using sitekiosk player as the screensaver.

Hello,

With SiteKiosk Player in SiteKiosk Android you can add local html files or web URLs.
Therefore you may embed the video into an html and then choose the html in the SiteKiosk Player configuration.

But please note that on Android the auto play is disabled

You may check if it works using one of the suggested workarounds provided in these articles (found with Google):

Alternatively you may use Digital Signage:

General note about displaying videos on Android devices:
mp4 is just a container format (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MPEG-4_Part_14).
We recommend using the h.264 (codec) format for the mp4 file.

For Android devices please consider the guidelines from this page: http://developer.android.com/guide/appendix/media-formats.html

If you are not familiar with codec formats and video settings you may use any video converter tool (like e.g. the open source tool Handbrake http://www.handbrake.fr) to convert the video into the appropriate video format (Handbrake provides a presetting for Android Tablets).
