Support Request: Printing Through Sitekiosk

Reproduction

please see description below:

Description

Hi,

Just a bit of background, the purpose we use sitekiosk is for interactive kiosks in burial grounds which enable people to find their loved ones.

This works by sitekiosk opening up a webpage, http://bukiosk.theus.org.uk/search/

When entering a first and last name, ie: Jack Smith and clicking submit it brings up a list of results. If you click a result you are led to the deceased info page.
On this page we have a button called 'Print Directions'. When clicking on this button from a browser on the kiosk it automatically prints the directions to the grave as it should do but when in the sitekiosk environment once i click 'Print Directions' a little printer image appears and then the printer prints out the current page it is on and not the directions. The strange thing is that when you print again it prints out correctly. Its only the first time you print from the kiosk within sitekiosk that the printer animation appears and the main page is printed.

Can you assist? I have checked the Internet Explorer settings and all seem fine.

Thanks

Mark

Hello,

SiteKiosk does use the default printer installed on the Windows system and generally prints through the printing function of the IE (Webbrowser Control).

It might be just a timing issue and you should check if there is a different behaviour when changing the “Printing behavior” setting in the SiteKiosk configuration (-->Print):
http://www.provisio.com/helpconsole/SiteKiosk%20Help/en-US/default.htm?print.htm
E.g. from “Automatically Print Largest Frame” to “Print web page as laid out on screen” or even with showing an additional print dialog.
