Support Request: Kiosks Offline

Description

Last night at 2:30 AM, all 3 of our kiosks went offline (most likely and ISP issue) however when coming in this morning they all displayed the attached imaged. Once they were rebooted they logged back in and they went into auto-start and logged in as the restricted user with no issues. My question is why if the connection dropped was it not able to check-in and reconnect? Is there a setting or something we can add to prevent this from happening?

You have the option of defining an offline start page which will be used when the default start page cannot be displayed (e.g. due to connection problems). This can be a local file saved on the computer (e.g. image, HTML page etc.)

This option is found in the SiteKiosk configuration tool under Basic > Start Page & Browser > Advanced > Offline Start Page

If the Screensaver is activated and the machine automatically reconnectes to the internet without user interaction required, then the default startpage (e.g. your company webpage) will be displayed.
