Support Request: External printer and webcam on Android?

Description

Hi,

I'm looking for kiosk software to run on Android 4.2 all-in-one pc's.
In this case customers need to configure their products on our website and print the configuration so they can pay for it at the registers. I can't find any reference to printing with Android on your website though.

Therefore my question is if it is possible to print from the browser to a USB printer? Even better if it supports silent printing without a prompt screen or 'printer select' popup.

My second question is about external webcam support. I could also use in browser webcam support. My question beeing if I can get a webcam feed from within the browser?

Or Google Cloud Print support would be great! As long as there is no additional dialog.

Hello,

at „-->Browser-->Advanced Settings“ you can enable a print button (Show Print Button).
Please note that this feature requires Android 4.4 and an Android recognized printer (configured on Android).

WebCam:
You can generally access the integrated camera of the Android device with corresponding html code in a web page (WebRTC: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/WebRTC_API/Taking_still_photos).

But this is only possible with the Fullscreen Browser (where the print button/printing unfortunately is not available) in combination with the Chromium Browser engine you can configure at “-->Application-->Fullscreen Browser-->Browser engine”.
The reason is that using this code / the camera is not possible with the default Android Browser engine that SiteKiosk does use (the so-called WebView Framework http://developer.android.com/guide/webapps/webview.html).
