Support Request: Issues with loading certain websites

Description

We are evaluating the use of SiteKiosk for our internal employee Kiosk's. When we try and load some SharePoint sites the page doesn't load completely and we also have issue with external sites prompting with certificate revocation problems. When using Internet Explorer under the same account we don't run into any issues. We are running the software on a Windows 7 x84 build with Internet Explorer 11.0.17 (KB3032359). I was wondering if there are configuration options in the Site Kiosk software or group policy settings that should be set.

Thank you

You can try to deactivate SiteKiosk in the user agent header. To do this, open the SiteKiosk configuration tool and go to >Basic >Start Page & Browser. Click the Advanced button and uncheck the box labeled 'Add "SiteKiosk" to user agent header'.

If that has no effect, you can try the SiteKiosk compatibility settings. To do this, close the SiteKiosk configuration tool then open your configuration file in Notepad and search for:

<ie8-compatibility-view enabled="true" />

and change it to this:

<ie8-compatibility-view enabled="false" />

Save the file then test in SiteKiosk. SiteKiosk needs to be started twice for the setting to take effect so start SiteKiosk in Start Once mode then close it right after it start and run it in Start Once mode again to test the issue. Other compatibility view settings can be found below.

With IE11 installed e.g.

<ie8-compatibility-view enabled="true" emulation-mode="8888" />
<ie8-compatibility-view enabled="true" emulation-mode="9999" />
<ie8-compatibility-view enabled="true" emulation-mode="10001" />

No special group policy settings are required for SiteKiosk however you may want to test this on a machine not affected by your group policy to ensure it is not causing an issue between SiteKiosk and your site.
