Support Request: Outlook 2013 Not Running from Portal

Description

Outlook (Office 2013) fails to run. Getting the "for security reasons this action is not allowed" dialog box.
This error was resolved with Word and Excel by using the following:
To allow open dialogs in Start Once mode do the following. While in the SiteKiosk configuration tool, go to >Basic >Access/Security Then click the Settings button next to "Block system critical windows & dialog boxes" and delete the entries; "Save a Copy*", "Save*" and "Open*" from the Window title column.

But it did not resolve the security error with Outlook

Using the Evaluation copy for testing.
Starting under Run Once and Unregistered

Thanks.

If you add a link to an executable to the Portal Start page it will try to download that file. That is most likely the reason you are seeing that message. If you do not see a log file entry after getting that message then it means you tried to download something and downloads are not allowed. Alternatively, you can add a link to OWA to the Portal start page and they can login to their outlook account that way. You can also add Outlook to the list of allowed applications and open it that way.
