Support Request: Still need assistance with installation

Description

Not sure why my previous ticket was closed when issue was not resolved. Support continues to tell me to do things that has already been completed. There has been no progress. ASP has been confirmed to be installed. I had to provide screenshots before they would finally stop telling me to install ASP. We have a Windows 2008 R2 server with 4 operational web sites. Before installing SiteRemote, we have added a new IP address to the server to separate it from the other web sites. We have also created a new web site outside of the default web site.. We have installed it with and without a virtual directory. We have told the installation to install on a different drive (D:) other than the OS drive (C:). None of it seems to work. Once the SiteRemote installation is running, it breaks all the other web sites on that server. After the install, they all stay broken including SiteRemote. An IISReset does not help. Restarting the server did not help. The SiteRemote installation is making a change somewhere and it is breaking all IIS websites. Can support do something other than paste irrelevant links? One link direct me to create a whole new virtual server using Hyper-V manager. First, we don't use Hyper-V in our environment. And secondly, why does it take hours to get a response when we are using email? If you don't have phone support, at least respond to your emails in a timely manner. I'm getting an average of 1-2 emails per day. Is that normal?

For the package that we purchased, it states that it comes with 12-months of phone support. When I called in, I was told that tech support does not do phone support and only through email or online. We have spent the past 2 days on whether or not Asp.net is installed. This information could have been confirmed with a simple 5 min phone conversation. Any other questions could have been verified with yet another 5-10 remote session on my computer. Can someone please tell me what kind of support we are getting with our package? I seem to get a lot of links and copy and paste material that does not apply to my environment.

Do your other web sites work again after you uninstall SiteRemote? Just to be sure, you need to create an additional web site in IIS before installation and then do a custom installation of SiteRemote.
During the installation you need to choose the web site in the installer you created for SiteRemote in IIS (not creating a virtual directory as that is not necessary). Can you confirm that you used this procedure during your installation?

We ended up creating a whole new server for Site Remote. After the installation OUTSIDE of the default web site, it was still not working. Then I noticed that it created two site bindings, one to port 443 and another to 64334. I deleted the port 64334 and now the site is working.
