Hello,

The auto start mode also works with Windows 8. Generally you just need to choose the start mode in the start dialog that will be displayed when starting SiteKiosk in a administrative Windows user account.
Then the corresponding settings will be stored in the Windows registry.
You can use the “auto start” mode for automatic startup of SiteKiosk in the SiteKiosk user account or even use the customized settings to choose any other Windows user account.

If it doesn’t work you may check if there is any other security tool (e.g. Antivirus Suite) installed on that machine which blocks the access to the Windows registry.

Also make sure not changing the user password of the SiteKiosk user account with using the Windows user settings.
In case you want to change the password of the SiteKiosk user account please use the System-Security-Manager also installed with SiteKiosk.

You can start SiteKiosk with a short cut to the SiteKiosk.exa and the Config file as parameter
For example
"C:\Program Files (x86)\SiteKiosk\SiteKiosk.exe" "C:\Program Files (x86)\SiteKiosk\Config\YourConfig.skcfg"
But this is less secure.
