Support Request: Request for SiteRemote Server Remote Monitoring

Description

Hi guys,

In our company we purchased 24 license for sitekiosk, but we are planning to have 50..
Now we are looking to use SiteRemote Server Remote Monitoring. Before that, we have some questions about license terms.
If we use SiteRemote Server Remote Monitoring License, do we need Sitekios Client License anymore for other clients or client licenses are included in SiteRemote Server Remote Monitoring?!

Thanks in advance

Hello,
for each client you need a SiteKiosk license (https://www.provisio.com/en-GB/Shop/Shop.aspx?GroupIdx=9) and also a SiteRemote Cloud Annual Plan (https://www.provisio.com/en-GB/Shop/Shop.aspx?GroupIdx=8). Alternatively you can run your own SiteRemote Server (https://www.provisio.com/en-GB/Shop/Shop.aspx?GroupIdx=17), in that case you do not need annual plans per client, but you would still need a SiteKiosk license per client.

Hi again,

We also have another question.
In our case, since we have about 50 clients which server should we use standard or professional (what does it mean team, we understand that a team has 100 clients).
Also can we install server in virtual environment,
should the server be in domain ( in our case clients should not be in the domain)
How to incorporate client in monitoring

Hello,

Teams are jsut the "groups" where you register the client machines to and where you can manage the cleitn machines after logging into the team (like logging into an e-mail account).
You can register as may client machiens to one team as you want.

Within the team you only can see the machines you registered to this team but not any machines registered to other teams.
Different Teams are useful if you want to separate the client machines so that a team member cannot see all client machines registered to SiteRemote.

If using the Standard or Business Edition license depends on what you want to do.
With the Standard Edition you just can create one Team where you register all client machines to.
With the Business Edition License you can create several Teams you can register the client machines to.

>>> Also can we install server in virtual environment,<<<
As long as the virtual machine fulfils the system requirements you can also use a virtual server machine.

>>> should the server be in domain ( in our case clients should not be in the domain)<<<
It’s your choice. For SiteRemote it doesn’t matter.

>>> How to incorporate client in monitoring <<<
Can you please rephrase this question with more detail?

Generally please note that Provisio is just a software engineering company.
We provide 12month free support for our software products. E.g. see:
http://www.provisio.com/helpconsole/SiteKiosk%20Help/en-US/default.htm?support.htm

But we do not manufacture and sell kiosk terminal enclosures, provide local project management services or manage/monitor teams or client machines on SiteRemote.
For that kind of service you may check our partners page:

Hi

For the third point!
We have some sitekiosk clients that we are using for a website in different locations.
For the security reasons these clients aren't in domain, RDP port is also off and firewall is ON therefore we can't monitor and update (we need to physically go to the device).
What I care about is if I use this platform siteremote server, will I be able to connect and monitor to device remotely, or do I have to go to the device and open ports that are used by siteremote manually(this connection client-server I can't understand very well how to realize).

thanks
Graniti

Hello,

The connection will always be initiated by the client machine and of cause you need to open the corresponding ports for the client machines that they can connect to the SiteRemote server.

The main port is TCP 8086 (SiteKiosk Windows) outgoing at the client and incoming at the server.
