Support Request: SiteRemote MySql error???

Description

Hi!

We have SiteRemote running on our own server, with the full license activated.

We have also created a new team.

Unfortunately, when trying to access the SiteRemote root (localhost/SiteRemote), we get the following error. Any ideas? It seems strange that SiteRemote tries to connect to MySql - maybe our installation of wordpress is causing this and it has nothing to do with SiteRemote?

Hello,

>>> maybe our installation of wordpress is causing this and it has nothing to do with SiteRemote?<<<
Yes, as SiteRemote doesn’t use MySQL but Microsoft SQL Server.

It seems Wordpress has changed some global settings in the “machine.config“ file of .NET.
http://forums.asp.net/t/1117776.aspx?Configuration+Files+FAQs+web+config+machine+config+

SiteRemote stores the siteMap information in the corresponding “web.config” file (C:\Program Files (x86)\PROVISIO\SiteRemote\Web).

Generally it is recommended to install SiteRemote Server on a dedicated server system that uses a default Windows Server installation and to not make any changes to the default policies of Windows.

Thanks for your reply!

Yes, then it was as I suspected :)

I did a <clear /> in the <sitemap><providers> section of the web.config on the SiteRemote root, to override with SiteRemote's sitemap settings. Now it works!

However - when logging in via /Siteremote/pub/login.aspx I get directed to the page /Siteremote/default.aspx. This page says:

"If you are not redirected automatically please click here"

However, it seems to be referencing itself (the link goes to /Siteremote/default.aspx and javascript tries to reload this page). Is this a known error, or could this also be due to interference of Wordpress? Perhaps it's related to the certification, which we haven´t sorted out yet (we still await a certificate from our local CA).

Hello,

There is no known issue. You may clear the browser cache and check again.
Also note that SiteRemote web pages are generally supported with IE (9 or higher) and Firefox.

No luck, unfortunately :)

I start a new ticket for this problem.

Hello,

we can't provide support for any issues caused by third party software products.
You may start from scratch and install SiteRemote Server on a dedicated server system that uses a default Windows Server installation and to not make any changes to the default policies of Windows like advices in our PDF brochure:
