Support Request: SiteKiosk config file could not be opened correctly

Description

Hi,

I am trying to install SiteKiosk v9.3.6835 on a Windows 10 Enterprise PC. When I load the config file I am getting "The SiteKiosk configuration file could not be opened correctly" error pop-up. This config file has worked with no issues on a Windows 7 Enterprise PC with v7.08.328 and v8.9.2637. Are there any know issues with config files from v7/v8/Win7 not working with v9/Win10?

Thanks,
Erik

Do you get the same error if you try to load a new default config file or any other configuration file saved on the computer?

When SiteKiosk can’t open the configuration file that you have configured the emergency configuration will be loaded.
Just press the ESC button and enter the general password to leave SiteKiosk. (Logout and deactivate start settings)

You have to make sure that your SiteKiosk configuration is stored at a folder where the SiteKiosk user has the required access rights to read it.
By default the configuration will be stored at “…\SiteKiosk\Config”.

Furthermore you need to be logged in within an administrative user account when you activate the “Auto Start” mode
