Support Request: Security Alert - Certificate trust

Description

We're currently testing out SiteKiosk Basic. The system is on the domain and using a domain account to launch SiteKiosk via SKStartup.

We're running into an issue loading https pages and we're getting these two security alerts.

-Revocation information for the security certificate for this site is not available. Do you want to proceed?
-The identity of this web site or the integrity of this connection cannot be verified.
(The security certificate was issued by a company you have not chosen to trust. View the certificate to determine whether you want to trust the certifying authority.)

Looking at some old support post to these alerts, it was asked to check if the native IE browser has these errors with the same user account. I've tested this, and they load up perfectly fine on IE11 on the same domain user accout.

We do have a proxy setup, but my understanding it'll use the IE settings anyways. I did setup the proxy setting under the Maintenance to see if it made a difference, it didn't.

Need to resolve this issue as these alerts are coming up on every page load. Thanks.

Base OS: Windows 10

Do you get the same behavior if you choose the Chrome browser option in the SiteKiosk configuration tool under >Basic >Start Page & Browser?

This was an internal issue that we resolved.

Our organization is having the same problem with the Revocation error message using IE 11. Are there any tips you might be able to share to help us out? I started a thread on this site as well for the issue but the answer we got of trying to import the security certificate of the site we are trying to run, manually, and applying to the whole computer, didn't work.

It was actually a proxy issue for us. The GPO wasn't set properly to input the correct proxy setting. After proxy was set, the issue disappeared. Hopefully that helps.

If the issue cannot be resolved, you also have the option of ignoring certificate warnings when using the Chrome browser in SiteKiosk.

To ignore the certificate revocation warning for the IE based browser, you will need to change IE settings in Windows outside of SiteKiosk. To do this, go >Internet options >Advanced then scroll down to the 'Security' section. Uncheck 'Check For Publisher's Revocation'. Save and test.
