Support Request: PC prompting for Active Directory credentials to login

Description

Sometime within the last month or so, the computer suddenly starting prompting for Windows credentials to boot into SiteKiosk. This never happened before. If the PC went idle, someone could just move the mouse or click, and they would be brought right into the software. Now, we need to actually sign in with our AD password, then the software starts. Was there a known Windows update that caused this issue to occur? Is there a fix to stop this from happening?

This seems more to apply to user password settings in the domain (e.g. the password was changed or has expired etc). Have you tried to set SiteKiosk back into Autostart with your domain account? Login to your administrator account and do the following:

To utilize a different user account than the default SiteKiosk user account, you will need to use the "Customized" SiteKiosk start options.

1. Open the SiteKiosk Start menu and select the option "Customized" then click "OK".
2. Select the option "Run SiteKiosk automatically at Windows startup (auto start)" and "Autostart with shell replacement" from the dropdown.
3. Uncheck the box labeled "Settings only apply to the restricted SiteKiosk user account".
4. Check the box labeled "Log on automatically at system startup" then click the "Settings" button.
5. In the Auto Login dialog window enter the credentials for the domain user that you would like SiteKiosk to run under.
6. Click "OK" then you will be prompted to reboot for autostart.

There was no password change or expiration, and the only setting that was different was the "Uncheck the box labeled "Settings only apply to the restricted SiteKiosk user account"" part. There was, however, an update to the software. I installed the update and unchecked the aforementioned box, and it's now working as intended again. Thank you so much!
