Support Request: Net.exe error message on startup

Hi there,
I have just downloaded, installed, configured & registered the latest SiteKiosk Basic version, running on a Win7 64bit machine.

I am experiencing two issues:

1: I am getting the attached System32/net.exe error during the launch process. it shows up twice. I have added it to the executable applications whitelist but that doesnt seem to make a difference. It is particularly annoying as it stalls the boot up, meaning I can't put the machine on a timer.

2: I am using the built-in screensaver to cycle through 5 pngs on the C: drive. Problems:
- images are not shown fullscreen: even though they are at native res of the screen it shows a nasty scrollbar
- it takes very long to revert to the HTML page (an online survey) when the screensaver gets interrupted, it seems to load all assets from scratch and presents a white screen while doing so: too long for most people to linger on. What's the best way around this?

Try adding the sitekiosk.exe to the applications whitelist along with net.exe and see if that behavior continues.

For the screensaver you can use the sitekiosk player to display your pictures in the original size, To display them in full screen the best way is to embed the image files into a HTML file.
e.g. like this (a separate html per image - example without further support):

<body style="margin:0px;">
<img src="picture.jpg" width="100%" height="100%" border="0">
</body>
</html>


Put the html file(s) into the same folder like the image file(s) and then choose the corresponding HTML file in SiteKiosk Player instead of the image file.

as far as the loading times from deactivating the screensaver, make sure your machine has all available windows updates installed

Hi there

sorry to report the net.exe issue still persists after adding sitekiosk.exe to the whitelist.

Also, the waking up from the screensaver takes VERY long, to the point that (potential) users are walking away without interacting.

Please urgently help, we have spent this money for your product and we need it to work!
