Support Request: Autostart two instances of SiteKiosk

Description

I am running into a problem with our kiosks freezing up in the morning. They boot up and work for some time, then freeze up and show a black screen with the cursor. I have seen an error saying that there are two instances of SiteKiosk trying to run. I do not see anything in startup and I have tried disabling the fast user switching feature, so I am not sure what else to try to get rid of the error. Now, at this point I am not sure if that is what is freezing up the machines, but I cannot seem to remove the error. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

When exactly do you see the error that you are running two instances of SiteKiosk? Have you checked your Windows Event logs to see what happens in the Operating System at the time of the crash or behavior occurs?

The error message you are receiving means that the SiteKiosk software is being run more than once on this particular machine. SiteKiosk has found another instance of itself already running on this machine and cannot be started twice.

If rebooting the computer does not work…..

• Please describe the process you are using to start SiteKiosk before you get this message.
• Are you in Autostart or Run Once?
• Are you remoting into the machine?
• Did you add SiteKiosk to your Windows startup items?
• Are you aware of anything else configured on your machine that is trying to start SiteKiosk?
