Support Request: Random dropping from network

Description

Windows 7/10 environment random dropping from network caused by SiteKiosk. Only solution to reconnect is to reboot the computer. When SiteKiosk was disabled/removed then units stays online all days so problem has been isolated to SiteKiosk. We have 7 units behaving like this and they are in different networks connected by LAN cables.

Hello,

SiteKiosk has no function to influence the network connection and just uses the connection provided by the Windows system.

You may check the SiteKiosk and the Windows Event log (-->Control Panel-->Administrative Tools-->Event Viewer) for errors and warnings at the time span the problem occurs.
Also verify that is really a network connection issue as SiteKiosk e.g. also displays the "Terminal offline" page at startup if the start page URL cannot be loaded (for any reason).
Also note that you should do the SiteKiosk test in “Run once” mode within the Windows user account where it worked outside of SiteKiosk (for having the same circumstances and user settings).

Even there is no known issue and SiteKiosk doesn’t influence the network connection please note that SiteKiosk 9.4 is out of support.
The most current version is 9.6.4409:
