Support Request: Chromium PDF Print

Description

Our users use ADP Workforce website to view paystubs, w-2 etc within the kiosk full screen mode.

In the past, we used adobe or foxit plugins within the Kiosk to view the webbased PDF's user would try to open (paychecks) so they could print. However, I cannot seem to get Chrome to display the web based PDF's in anything but Chromes default PDF viewer (which does NOT have a print button).

When I attempt to right click print, it does not print correctly and when I click the print button on the mainpages toolbar, nothing pops up.

How do we get the foxit/adobe plug in for the PDF viewer to show.

I cannot use the IE browser skin.

Currently you cannot change or disable the integrated PDF viewer of the Chrome Browser skin.
To enable printing (also for PDF) you generally just need to activate the option "Allow printing" at "-->Start Page & Browser-->Customize-->Settings". After that a print icon should be displayed in the PDF viewer toolbar. To have a print button in the SiteKiosk skin you need to enable the option "Show Print Button" at "-->Start Page & Browser-->Customize-->Browser Toolbar".

Otherwise the web page must provide the PDF document as download. Then you can use the Download settings to open the PDF with a specific application.

Again, I already did enable printing in both of those areas. However, it still prints incorrectly when using sitekiosk, works fine when printing in regular chrome.

This is an issue with sitekiosk and am kind of surprised since Cigna is a pretty big website. I cannot just allow downloads of peoples paystubs on these kiosks.

Since it used to work in the old sitekiosk, something has changed in the new version.

When you say it doesn't print correct, do you mean that the page prints but the information is incorrectly formatted? In which way is the format incorrect? Does the same thing happen in Start Once and Autostart mode?

I mean it prints the page behind it but not the PDF itself. It opens the PDF in a PDF Viewer that does not include the print option. When you click the print button on the main tab, it will not print the PDF Viewer.

Yes, I have tried both options.

That would be a limitation of the Chromium browser in SteKiosk and the way the PDF is provided by the server. In that case, in order to continue with the Chrome based browser, you would need to download and open the PDF. You can have SiteKiosk delete downloaded files on logout/time out.
