Support Request: Printing without print dialog

Description

Hi Support,

We have a webpage running on the Chrome-based version of sitekiosk on a windows 10 machine. It's installed in a kiosk with a single Epson Thermal printer, set as default.

We have a print button, which normally launches the Chrome print dialog. In sitekiosk it launches the system print dialog, probably due to some restrictions of sitekiosk.

Wondering if it is possible to print without print dialog? Something like opening chrome in kiosk mode.
May be similar to this request?

Thank you!

In the SiteKiosk configuration tool under >Basic >Print, uncheck "Enable printer monitoring" and then from the Printing Behavior drop down choose "Print web page as laid out on screen (without user interaction)". Save and test.

Hi Support,

This was the default setting for sitekiosk, but when we click print it still pops up the system dialog.

Any advice?

We are using the chrome version.

Is this quite easy to achieve with default chrome, we just use --kiosk --kiosk-printing as an option in the shortcut.

Cheers

I am not able to replicate this behavior. What is your operating system? Is this a custom dialog from the print driver or the Windows print dialog? The only case where the Windows print dialog should be displayed is if you select "Show Standard Windows Print Dialog box" from the printing behavior drop down. Can you send a screenshot of what you are seeing to ward(at)provisio.com?

Hey Ward,

Sorry for the late reply. I've mailed you the screenshots and the config file.

Regardless of which print setting I choose, the Windows dialog comes up first.

Please help! Thanks so much.
