Support Request: Credential - Microsoft Office 365 Portal

Description

We would like to use Sitekiosk to provide a view of Microsoft's Foundation Server site (Microsoft Credentials) in our Coffee Corner.

We will create a generic user account (read only) on Microsoft Portal and would like to see if it is possible to automate the authentication or to prevent the user logoff after a reboot or maintenance.

The AD single sign-on doesn't is not a solution because the Kiosk will be out of domain for security reasons.
Thanks for your help.

Hello,

the only way to automate authentication other than using the IE engine of SiteKiosk with single sign on is to script: http://devblog.provisio.com/post/2017/10/19/Using-the-External-Script-Option-of-SiteKiosk-to-Automate-Processes.aspx.

I use Internet Explorer Engine ... but it doesn't work.
Office 365 Website ask authentification on every restart.

Hello,
automatic single sign on only works within a domain where the user you run SiteKiosk under is a domain user and you are visiting a website within the IE engine that accepts those domain credentials.
For everything else you need the script variant.

There is an additonal option where you may disable that SiteKiosk deletes Cookies and/or temporary Internet files to keep the login stored. But that would mean that sensitive data remains on the kiosk system after a user leaves. Whether or not that is something that is acceptable in your environment is up to you to decide.
