Support Request: Screen orientation

Description

We are currently running Sitekiosk on windows 1803, and i can't change the Screen Orientation.
I've disabled all the security that's built in which lets me configure screen settings and much more, but after every restart the screen is "Resetted" to it's normal behaviour, i can't get it to save.

What am i suppose to do?

Hello,

Generally you just need to configure this on Windows in the Windows user account you use to start SiteKiosk.
Please find here a description how to do this in the SiteKiosk user account (used in default “Auto Start” mode). Setting Admin rights for the SiteKiosk user should not be necessary:
https://www.provisio.com/en-GB/CustomerSupportCenter/ArticleDetails.aspx?ArticleID=5826

Otherwise this setting needs to be done in the user account you run SiteKiosk in (e.g. any other domain account).

Furthermore make sure that you didn’t activate the future letting SiteKiosk set a screen resolution (Make sure default <autoset>false</autoset> is configured in the skcfg). Also see:

Hi Mikael,

I just checked the skcfg file, and it is following

 <screenmode>
		<xres>800</xres>
		<yres>600</yres>
		<bitdepth>16</bitdepth>
		<frequency>0</frequency>
		<autoset>false</autoset>
		<workarea enabled="false" absolute-coordinates="false">
			<capture-mouse>true</capture-mouse>
			<left>0</left>
			<top>0</top>
			<right>100</right>
			<bottom>100</bottom>
		</workarea>
		<optical-zoom>100</optical-zoom>
	</screenmode>

I also tried the other method mentioned by going into unprotected mode then logging in, but when i logged in it has the correct orientation.
However, when i user the "AutoStart" function it displays the wrong orientation, something in SiteKiosk is making this happen, since it works when i login normal using the Sitekiosk user.

In other words.

Manually logging in with the SiteKiosk user orientates the screen correctly.
Letting SiteKiosk manage the Login orientates the screen "falsely".

We need it to be Landscape(Flipped), when we ute the AutoStart function, it sets it to only Landscape.

Hello,

As there is no other setting in SiteKiosk that has influence to this, does it work when immediately starting SiteKiosk in the SiteKiosk user account after making the changes?
(Just for testing purposes)

Hi Michael, it works when i'm manually signing in and then opening SiteKiosk.
But when i use "Auto Start" the orientation resets to default.

For example.

I just logged in to the SiteKiosk user, changed the Orientation to "Landscape(Flipped)", i logged out and went into the administrator account, resetted the permissions(tried without doing this aswell)
Started Auto Start, and when the computer has restarted after clicking Auto Start, it has the wrong orientation when SIteKiosk is starting.

We are gonna roll this kiosk out to over 100 more locations, so i'm desperate in finding a solution with Provisio to fix this.
