Support Request: SiteCaster Request Failed with Status code 404

Description

Hello,

I am getting a system failing to update content on it, when looking at the logfile i continue to get the below 2 lines repeatedly.

40 0000 2019-01-14 00:39:46 +1100 [SiteCaster CMS] content could not be updated: Error: Request failed with status code 404
20 0000 2019-01-14 00:40:16 +1100 [SiteCaster CMS] updating to new version 5c37ba7e903f2954518f24b0

I have tried re-starting the Kiosk, in terms of infrastructure nothing has changed. other kiosks have been updating the content all as per normal.

Please let me know what is required to fix the issue.

Hello,

As this is just a general error message of the client when the source is not found we need more information.

Please send the following files and information to support-europe(at)provisio.com
- The SiteKiosk configuration file you use (…\SiteKiosk\Config\YourConfig.skcfg)
- A corresponding SiteKiosk log (…\SiteKiosk\Logfiles).
- The file “SiteKioskNG.log” in the folder “C:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Local\Temp” ([User Name] = the Windows user you started SiteKiosk within).
- The information if previously content was displayed on this Kiosk or if it never has worked.

As Workaround you may check republishing the content to this Kiosk.
First deselect this machine in the publish dialog and publish the content to the other machines.
Then you may wait some minutes and finally add this machine again and publish again.
