Support Request: White screen when launching Site Kiosk with Chrome Browser Skin on Windows 10 version 1903

Hi,

When launching Site Kiosk using the Chrome Browser skin it loads up as far as showing the task bar along the bottom of the screen but then it just shows a blank white page and the cursor just keeps displaying the loading symbol repeatedly, I have left it for over an hour but it never loads, it does however show the screensaver after a while but as soon as you move the mouse it returns back to the white page again, I have attached the Logs for today and the Config file being used.

The IE skin has been working fine for many years but Gmail no longer works in Internet Explorer so we are having to change to Chrome now.

I am sorry but SiteKiosk 9.6 is out of support.

But you may first check if it works when creating a new configuration where you just configure the password and the start page URL (first test on Start once mode before using Auto Start again).
If that doesn’t help you can try if it works when reinstalling SiteKiosk or check if there are any additional security applications or settings (e.g. Group- or Domain- Policies) on that machine that leads to this behavior-

Otherwise you should update to the most current SiteKiosk version and check it again.

Whether or not you need to purchase an update license for using SiteKiosk 9.7 depends on when you purchased your actual license.
The SiteKiosk license is valid for all SiteKiosk versions that are published within 12 Month after you purchased the license.

Thank you for your advice,

I have checked and I will need to purchase some new licenses as the last lot were purchased back in 2017 so aren't eligible for free upgrade.

Before I upgrade, do you know if windows pass through authentication works in the Chromium browser with the newest version of Site Kiosk, I have managed to get everything working in the Chromium browser including Gmail however it prompts for Username and Password every time our home page loads, strangely if I hit cancel everything works ok but it prompts again when returning to the home screen.

Hello,

if by pass through authentication you mean a Windows domain based authentication, then the answer is yes. Note that limitations may apply based on what the actual code of the website you are using does.
