Support Request: Need an example of filtering rules

Hello. Can you give me an example of filtering rules with wild cards? I have read the links provided and it still does not work. For example, I have. "https://**" in the allowed list. But things like "*" and "*" are denied ???
How do I allow everything and anything under the domain "" to work Subdomains included.
Could you please type the proper format of this filter rule?

Answer: (1)

Thank you for your inquiry. First you should always check the log (…\SiteKiosk\Logfiles). When the URL will be blocked by your Surfing Area settings, you will have entries like this in the log: "[SiteKiosk] Notification: According to the surf area rules the navigation to XYZ was canceled. " Then you can compare the URL in the log with the Surfing Area settings.

Note that also the protocol(https vs http) will be checked with this setting:

It does e.g. not allow

The surfing area feature just compares the strings (URL vs. Surfing Area entries). I have tested your website and found a few items that will give you constant blocks. Like resolves to . Try this simple list and you can build from there:

Do not use this expression unless it is absolutely necessary: " *:// "
