Support Request: Sensors measure unusual operating voltage

Description

Can you tell me what triggers the alert "Sensors measure unusual operating voltage" Caution: operating voltage disruptions have been detected. These may lead to system instability, crashes or hardware damage.

I'm trying to see what is monitoring this and how to prevent it.

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry. This message is only precautionary and it does not indicate a major problem. You can observe your system to ensure it is operating normally. Once you have done so and would longer need to see this message, you can turn this off by going to:

SiteRemote>>Users (left menu)>>Click the "Edit User" icon>>Scroll down and uncheck 'Hardware malfunctions' under Alerts. Save your settings.

Keep in mind that this will silence other future alerts in that category. You may find other advanced voltage settings in your BIOS. Further support is not provided for those settings.

Best regards,
Andre.

By disabling the alert I would no longer be alerted to actual issues that occur. Are these alert generated by SiteRemote based upon a specified threshold within your software or alerts actually generated by the machine?

In the "Notification options for results" section I have the "Hardware Malfunctions/Show on web page" unchecked. However I still receive the alerts in the alerts section of the machine overview. Am I doing something incorrect?

Hello,

Thank you for the response. On our server, we keep the voltage values within the limits of the general specifications.

For a future version, it is planned to make these values configurable on a team level, but there is no time frame for this feature release. (While someone with their own SiteRemote Server can change these values to their liking). SiteKiosk uses CPU-Z libraries to read the values: https://www.cpuid.com . And every few months, the libraries are updated to include newer hardware.

In general, you can click the EYE icon (Mark As Read) in the Dashboard and the alert message will be removed there but not always on the Monitoring>>Overview page. Those will go eventually. By unchecking the Hardware Notifications as instructed previously, it will not get rid of the alert messages currently but prevent new ones from coming up.

For the time being, please ignore those messages until the new feature is available.

Best regards,
Andre.
