Archive: Customizable toolbar

Description

One of the things SiteKiosk lacks is the ability to add/remove custom buttons to the actual toolbar where the navigation buttons are.

I understand that SiteKiosk offers the "Programs" button which loads up a new webpage but at times this can be an unwanted side effect. For example, if you want to offer a feature that allows the user to "save" his session to return at a later time there's no way of doing that since clicking on the Programs button will load up a new page and the place where we want to save the session is lost.

Hello Nikolay,

thank you very much for your proposal! :-)

We are currently developing a new component of SiteKiosk called SiteSkin. This new feature will bring you exactly the flexibility you need. You will be able to place as many of as few buttons where you want and with any function that is possible from a trusted js-file or exposed by the SiteKiosk Obj-Model.

Unfortunately I cannot tell you exactly when we will have finished development and start beta-testing. Maybe it will take up to fall this year.
